TIGHT LINES for 2026

Marking the start of the Salmon season today, we wish all our permit holders 'tight lines' for 2026.

River conditions are far from perfect today after all the rainfall this week, but for those who will have go at catching the first fly caught fresh salmon of the season today and during the week on The Coquet, we wish you success as you endeavour to win our prestigious River Coquet Trophy.

Conditions on The River Tyne are also not great today, but as water levels drop we hope our permit holders enjoy their fishing including fishing on our new excellent stretch of water at Bywell with the opportunity to win The Federation Shield for catching the first fly caught fresh salmon of the season.

Permits are now available to fish our waters on The Rivers, Tyne, Coquet and Till during 2026.
