Permit Prices 2026

Anglers must have a current permit, the relevant Environment Agency fishing licence and maps of the water in their possession to avoid trespass and to avoid prosecution. The boundaries of Federation beats are marked by signs or posts and if you are in doubt as to where to fish, do not fish and seek clarification before doing so.

On the river Till, the right to fish is subject to special rules which are published on this website and it is not possible to fish the Till without making prior arrangements with the Head Bailiff. Anglers will also need to familiarise themselves with the River Tweed Commission Angling Codes, including those relating to grayling.

Visitors to Northumbria have the opportunity to fish all the Federation's waters on with either a daily, three day or weekly permit.

The river Till is a 6 rod beat which must be booked in advance

A handbook is included within the permit price and will be sent out with your permit. The extent of the Federation waters are shown on the maps within the handbook. The handbook and maps can also be downloaded or printed from the website. Anglers must have a map of the waters in their possession when fishing to avoid trespass. The boundaries of such waters are marked with white posts, signs or some other feature. If in doubt of rights to fish, anglers should seek confirmation to avoid prosecution. Where the Board considers it necessary, changes to the extent or boundaries of Federation waters will be published on the Federation website.
