With great sadness, we learned on Monday 20th June, of the passing of popular, long time Federation angler John Bancroft.
With their blessing we would like to take this opportunity on behalf of all anglers and officials of Northumbrian Anglers Federation to convey the most sincere condolences to John's family.
John, known as Banny, was a very keen and passionate angler with over 20 years as a Federation permit holder who loved his times on the banks of the Coquet where he was extremely well liked and had many good friends.
John will be remembered fondly by all who knew him as a kind and compassionate man who was always full of spirit on the river.
We wish John's family well in this difficult time.
