Angling Update

Well, the rain came and went last week but made little improvement to the conditions on the Coquet, however a couple of anglers, Rob Fletcher and David Lee did manage to land a salmon apiece from the lower stretches.

Our Tyne waters have fared slightly better once again with Brian Peutherer landing a lovely grilse, his first fish from the Tyne, with a sea trout around the 3 lb mark quickly following. On Saturday morning, with the water clearing, Dale Green landed his fourth salmon on only his third trip to the Tyne, this one weighing in at a stunning 21 lb 4 oz. and then only this morning, Chris Sneddon landed his first ever salmon, a lovely grilse of 5 lb 8 oz.
