Rule Change and Reminders

We'd like to notify anglers that Rule 5 f. has been amended so that the Shillmoor and Linbriggs waters are now open for fishing to Salmon permit holders in October.

As we have quite a few new Brown Trout permit holders we'd like to remind you that as from today, fly fishing only is permitted for brown trout as per Rule 3 b. 

Also, a  general reminder that all anglers must be in possession of an appropriate landing net as per Rule 4 k. This requires each angler to have a net and not sharing one, with the net on your person or to hand when fishing where it can serve its purpose and not propped against a tree or seat several yards away.

On the subject of landing nets, if any anglers have recently misplaced theirs then please contact the Head Bailiff and we can hopefully reunite you with them.
