FIRST FEDERATION SALMON OF 2025

THE FIRST FEDERATION SALMON OF 2025

With great pleasure we can announce that the season's first fresh salmon from N.A.F. waters has been caught today on the Black Bridge Beat of the River Coquet.

The warmest of congratulations go to angler David 'Dicky' Redhead who landed the fish at 13.45 from the Swan's Neck stretch.

The fish, caught on a copper Mepps and in superb condition was verified and weighed in at 6 lb 7 oz. and returned to the water safely to make it's onward journey.

An obviously delighted David who has fished the Federation's waters for many years will now receive the esteemed River Coquet Trophy for the first time.

Sincere congratulations from everyone involved with the Federation go to David.

Well done.
