FIRST DAY OF THE SALMON SEASON.

A bit windy, but still a beautiful morning on the Federations river Coquet waters as anglers dust their rods down and look to get their first Salmon of the season. Competitions are open from today for the Coquet Trophy (first fresh salmon of the season on the river Coquet) and The Federation Shield (first fly caught fresh salmon of the season on any Federation water). If you apply for your permit today, you would be able to join these anglers on the Coquet or Tyne as soon as we can get your permit to you. Just to remind you, February is fly fishing only. We hope all permit holders have a great season on our fantastic waters.
