FEDERATION DROP IN DAY - SUPPORTED BY GREYS.
Our Drop in Day which we held yesterday was very successful, summed up by these words of thanks from an attendee:
"Just a short message to say thank you to you and the team for this mornings drop in session. Grandson Ryan would have stayed all day, and grandaughter Eva was chuffed at her first try at casting a fly rod, with guidance from Barry Mitchell. Everyone involved today was so friendly and helpful, and a special thankyou to Ryan, the fly tier, who demonstrated two flies for our Ryan then handed them to him to put in his fly box ( which he had brought along). On the way back we stopped off at Pauperhaugh for half an hour and our Ryan couldn't wait to tie on his new gifted Allys shrimp ( to his trout rod and line!) and promptly saw a salmon leap out about 4 feet vertically in the middle of the pool.
We picked up lots of useful bits of advice from you folks with a lot more experience of fishing the Coquet and Salmon/ Sea trout fishing, and sure its now just a matter of time before we manage to keep one firmly hooked and manage to land one.
Thanks again"
