Additional Rules for 2021

Please note the following additional rules will apply for the 2021 Season:

Additional Methods Rules-

Fishing flies, artificial prawns or artificial shrimps on a spinning rod is prohibited at all times. Flies must only be fished on a fly rod, fly reel and using a proper fly line.

No spinning allowed from Shillmoor to Linbriggs and Linbriggs waters - fly fishing only.

All migratory fish permit holders must possess a landing net when fishing which should be used to land any fish whenever practically possible in order to reduce injury to the fish.

If fish are deep-hooked, particularly in the gills, it may not be possible to remove the hook. Cut the line close to the hook and release the fish. This will cause less harm to the fish than attempting to remove the hook.

Additional Special restriction-

No dogs allowed on Gallowfield water
