The extent of the Federation waters are shown on the maps in this Handbook and can also be downloaded from the website. Anglers must have a map of the waters in their possession when fishing to avoid trespass. The boundaries of such waters are marked with white posts, signs or some other feature. If in doubt of rights to fish, anglers should seek confirmation to avoid prosecution. Where the Board considers it necessary, changes to the extent or boundaries of Federation waters will be published on the Federation website. The Federation has acquired fishing rights on the River Till and Wooler Water. These rights are subject to special rules which are published on the Federation website and it is not possible to fish these waters without making prior arrangements with the Head Bailiff. Anglers will also need to familiarise themselves with the River Tweed Commission Angling Codes, including those relating to grayling.

The Northumbrian Anglers Federation has fishing available for permit holders on the rivers Till, Coquet and Tyne. To fish Federation waters anglers need to be in possession of a valid permit and the relevant Environment Agency fishing licence.

The river Till is a 6 rod beat. This must be booked in advance by contacting the Head Bailiff (for season permit holders). Visitors who have applied to fish the Till only do not need to contact the Head Bailiff as the advance booking will be confirmed during the application process, Visitors who buy an all waters permit must book fishing on the Till in advance by contacting the Head Bailiff.
